So please tell us who you are and what you do!
‘Hey, I am Isi Dee and I write and perform acoustic soul around North and West Yorkshire.’
Where’s your favourite place to write?
‘I usually end up writing lyrics when I am doing other things, such as working or walking the dog, in the shower sometimes.’
Who are your main creative influences?
‘I am hugely influenced and inspired by the great ladies of Soul and Jazz, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee, however I also take a lot of inspiration from the local artists around me that I get the pleasure of working with.’
What are you working on at the moment?
‘I am working on some new stuff at the moment, trying to incorporate acoustic soul into LoFi style beats! Hoping to release this summer a whopping 11 years after my initial EP release, Hopefully it will be worth the wait!’
